Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Founded through The Broke and the Bookish, Top Ten is about showcasing a list of some of our favorite things. August 8, 2017, we’ll talk about our Top Ten Series I Know I Should Read.

Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan
I loved Percy Jackson. I mean, L-O-V-E. Not on a Harry Potter level. Or maybe. I’m not sure. I actually read Percy Jackson when I was in college so I don’t know what’s stopping me from reading about HOO. I feel like it’s because I haven’t read a middle-grade in so very long and I just never found the intense desire to jump back into it – but Percy Jackson was so near and dear to my heart. I started reading HOO with the first book, but then MARK OF ATHENA came out and then I don’t know what happened. I bought the book. I was gonna read it. And then it ended up in my TBR pile for years! I want to revisit this world. Seriously.

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes
Falling Kingdoms is a series that I am hesitant to dive into now, especially because there are so many books out. How many are there? Seven including the companion series? GEEZ. I think that another thing that has thrown me off is that there are lots of characters and I’m hesitant to try to keep track of them, especially because I love being able to watch development in the core ones. There’s JUST SO MANY, but it’s set in a historical period with magic and unrest and ALL THE GOOD STUFF.

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
I need to read this on the sole reason that the food descriptions in it are just simply scrumptious. I’ve heard nothing is more scintillating than how Ahdieh describes food (except her extravagant storytelling). Plus, I love a good love story and I’ve been told time and time again that this is a beautiful and gut-wrenching one. I love angst.
